Summer Rugby Camps

There are two that I know of:

East Stroudsburg Camp - Coach Wells is one of the coaches. There will be a brochure sent to all of the players who are on the email list. If you do not get an email from coach then call him at 302-547-4272. The link below also has all of the info.

The rugby camp will be held at East Stroudsburg University on July 10-13th. The registration information, fees, etc. can be found at:

Penn State Camp - The dates for this camp are July 8 - 12th. I am sending out that camp's flyer by email too.

All-Star/Delaware Destroyer Information

Dates: Event dates are below. Expect practices to be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays prior to events

Saturday, 6/14 - EPRU District All-Star Tournament

Practice for the Southern District All-Stars has begun but it isn't too late. I encourage all to participate. Practice will be held next week on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-6 at Memorial Hall Field in Philly (directions below). Practice for the following week will be determined later.

There are forms that should be filled out if you are interested in playing. I also forwarded an email from the All-Star coordinator informing you of all-stars and the forms are attached to that email. If you did not get the email, call me and I can send it to you again.

- 2008 EPRU U19 Boys All Stars Player Information Electronic Form

o This is an informational form that a player can complete, save and return to me by email.

o All Players are to complete the form and return to me by June 1^st.

o Completed information forms should be emailed to: danielcurrie@comcast.net .

- 2008 EPRU U19 Boys All Star Liability Form

o This is a medical release form similar to what you use for your current team.

o All Players are required to have this form completed, and signed by a parent.

o The liability forms will be collected at registration on the morning of the District Tournament on June 14^th.

o No Player will be able to participate in either of these tournaments without submitting this form completed and signed.

Sat & Sun, 6/21 & 6/22 - EPRU and DE Destroyers @ Patomac Challenge

We need players for the u18 squad going to the Patomac Challenge. Practice will be on Tues and Thurs from 6:30 to 8:00 at Stanton.

Colts merchandise for sale!

I have done an inventory of Colts merchandise that I have accumulated over the years. There are quite a few items that players may want to buy.

Sweatshirts - $35: I have a limited supply of sweatshirts left over from last years order. (This year started with sporadic commitment and I never got around to putting a new order in).

Jerseys: I have several jerseys from past years that anyone can buy. Prices vary.

Barbarians - $30: these are the jerseys that we used this season before the new ones came in.

Argies from 2005 - $25: material is similar to this year's alternate set.

Dri-Release from 2003: the only remaining jersey from our 4th place finish at nationals.

17-M - $20

Items are "first come, first serve." I am likely to find more stuff as I dig through my boxes. Call me if you'd like buy anything.

Alignment of High School teams in EPRU

All Division 1, 2 and 3 teams will be set in district for regional play. There are four Districts; White, Blue, Red and Green. The Wilmington Colts will be part of the red District (aka Southern District).

Delaware Rugby Foundation announces a Scholarship for U of D

The Delaware Rugby Foundation is supporting local high school rugby by donating $2,000 for an incoming freshman to the University of Delaware. http://www.delawarerugbyfoundation.com This scholarship will be available for the 2007-08 school year. A candiate must be part of the EPRU and accepted to University of Delaware. Other requirements are necessary.
